| Description: |
Hyundai Hope on Wheels (HHOW) has announced its Request for Proposals (RFP) for the
2026 Hyundai Scholar Hope Grant. This grant is designed to support research of mid- to late-career
investigators research in pediatric oncology. Since its inception, HHOW has donated more than $277
million to fund pediatric cancer research. The intent of the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Grants is to
provide funding for principal investigators, whose research projects are likely to have a significant
impact on improving the understanding of the biology of childhood cancer and/or developing novel
diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic approaches for pediatric malignancies. Clinical trial research
projects are not eligible for consideration. One application may be submitted in this category per
institution and must include the concurrence of the Division Director of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology,
Lucie Turcotte, MD, MPH, MS.

In order to be considered for a full application, please submit a one-to-two-page Letter of Intent to Elizabeth Hendrickson Nalli at hend1075@umn.edu outlining the proposed specific aims, timeline, and a brief description of how the funds would be used.
Letters must be received by 12:00 PM CST on January 2, 2026. The applicant will be chosen by an internal committee.
