Description: |
The Edward Mallinckrodt, Jr. Foundation supports early-stage biomedical investigators engaged in basic and translational research that has the potential to make fundamental advances in biomedical science.
The funds are designed to provide to tenure track faculty members in their first to fourth year, at American Institutions, who hold M.D. and/or Ph.D. degrees, start-up support to move the project forward to the point where R01 or other independent funding can be obtained. Applicants with current R01 funding should not apply.

Those interested in applying should submit the following as a single pdf document to collabor@umn.edu no later than 4pm on: 4/30/2025
1. Cover page including PI name, department, contact information, project title, any co-PI's name and department, and one paragraph project abstract.
2. A one to two page Lay Summary: see Mallinckrodt Grant Guidelines for more information.
3. Project summary - to include solicitation specific information.
(not more than three pages) .
4. Biosketch of PI (5 page NIH format).
5. 2-3 names of possible UMN reviewers (NOT References) (with no Conflicts of Interest) plus 5 keywords to be used as search terms for possible reviewers (can be added to Cover Page)
