Description: |
Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly resources. Summer Stipends support continuous full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two continuous months. Summer Stipends support projects at any stage of development.
Please note that the internal competition is a requirement for tenure-track faculty members only. See NEH guidelines for the types of applicants exempt from university nomination. If you are exempt you may apply directly to NEH without submission to our internal competition. Please make sure you let SPA know that you are applying as an individual when you are filling out your forms. |

To be considered for nomination from the Twin Cities campus, please submit the following as a single pdf to collabor@umn.edu no later than 4pm on July 1st:
1. Cover page including PI name, department, and contact information, and a title for the project
2. Project summary (not more than 3 pages)
3. Brief biosketch (not more than 5 pages)
