Applicants may request up to $66,667 per year (this amount is to include budgeted indirect costs) for up to three years, with the total award not to exceed $200,000. A maximum of 8% of the proposed yearly budget may be allocated to indirect costs. These awards are not renewable. |

The National Scleroderma Foundation seeks applications from promising new investigators who hold faculty or equivalent positions and who wish to pursue a career in research related to scleroderma. This grant supports promising research that is likely to lead to individual research project grants. The New Investigator Grant is designed to facilitate the entry of promising new investigators into areas of research related to scleroderma.

NOTE: The National Scleroderma Foundation will accept 2 applications in total from each institution for the New Investigator and the Established Investigator grants - not 2 for each grant, but 2 in total.
Those interested in applying should submit the following as a single pdf document to collabor@umn.edu no later than 4pm on: 7/7/2025
1. Cover page including PI name, department, contact information, project title, any co-PI's name and department, and one paragraph project abstract.
2. Project summary - to include solicitation specific information.
(not more than three pages) -
3. Biosketch of PI and any co-PI's (2 - 5 pages, NSF, NIH, or other relevant format).
4. 2-3 names of possible UMN reviewers (NOT References) (with no Conflicts of Interest) plus 5 keywords to be used as search terms for possible reviewers (can be added to Cover Page)
